Job Purpose

E-commerce in PR Japan is managed as a collaboration of commercial and marketing dedicated team members. While the commercial team is in charge of Key Account Management (listings, pricing), price and e-retail performance monitoring, the Marketing team is in charge of the advertising investment strategy, the activation calendar, the Marketplaces SIS, the overall EC performance and the return on investment.

Principle Accountabilities

Ecommerce Strategy

  • • Develop, together with the Commercial team and the Brand teams, a strong EC investment plan for PRJ to gain its fair share in ecommerce. This is covering the following dimensions: brand portfolio & hero SKUs , key e-retailers, type of investments, activation calendar and key calls to actions – quick wins and mid term wins.
  • • Leverage PR Group successful ecommerce business cases and ecommerce expertise by efficiently liaising with PR Asia, PR HQ and key affiliates.

Product Information Management

  • • Ensure/ improve Product Content on key platforms - evaluate current situation in key e-retailers, and efficiently leverage PR Group tools/ capabilities (e.g. Product Cloud) to
  • • Keep adjusting product information based on market trends, brands activations and other requirements from brand teams.

Ecommerce investments

  • • Improve Traffic, Conversion and Order Value by implementing the most efficient investment mix driving visibility/ searchability, ratings & reviews.
  • • Evaluate and manage the set-up of Marketplaces SIS.
  • • Intensify TLO (ie pilots) on e-retailers new services and solutions.

Performance Tracking

  • • Lead monthly ecommerce meeting regrouping key stakeholders (Marketing & Commercial).
  • • Monitor and keep improving return on investment.
  • • Track position and progress vs key competitors - Profitero tool
  • • Monitor and follow up of improvements in Traffic, Conversion and Order Value, leveraging Profitero tool.
  • • Monitor the profitability (Profit & Loss) of our Ecommerce business.

Drinks & Co website Management

  • •Operate PR Japan Drinks & Co (Direct to Consumers) platform with ongoing platform maintenance and development - working in close collaboration with commercial and marketing teams, supply chain, IT, regional team in Hong-Kong and headquarters in Paris.
  • • Administrate product catalog.
  • • Set-up a calendar of activations – including new product launches, newsletters, special promotions.
  • • Develop regular performance reviews.


Academic Requirement

  • • 4-year university graduate or above

Professional Experience Required

  • • 6 years + of experience in ecommerce (Company operating with e-retailer model and/ or major e-retailer).
  • • Track record of e-commerce media investment with scalable, high ROI activations.


  • •Native Japanese / Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

Key Competencies (hard)

  • • Track record of e-commerce media investment with scalable, high ROI activations.
  • • Expertise in negotiations around growth and partnerships with platform owners and e-shop owners

  • • Strong Planning and organization skills. Agile mindset
  • • Strong drive and result orientation required.
  • • Ability to connect and communicate to a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally, in English and in Japanese.
